Holiday Hackathon: Smoke-Free Public Spaces Challenge

Overview
The “Smoke-Free Public Spaces Challenge” is a one-day hackathon focused on developing innovative solutions to reduce tobacco smoke exposure in public spaces. This event brings together community members, policymakers, public health advocates, technologists, and environmental enthusiasts to brainstorm and design effective strategies to promote smoke-free environments.
Event Goals
- Raise Awareness about the impact of secondhand and thirdhand smoke in public spaces.
- Generate Innovative Solutions to create cleaner, healthier environments by reducing tobacco smoke exposure.
- Foster Collaboration between community stakeholders, technologists, and public health professionals to implement actionable policies and technologies.
